The Slow Food Snail of Approval award is a recognition given to food and beverage establishments that are pursuing and practicing Slow Food values in their business. This is more than about making good food — it’s about making commitments to the environment, local communities, employees and purveyors.  

 All Project Umami Products are Certified Organic.  This not only means that all raw consumable ingredient inputs in our products are approved for use by a 3rd Party Certifying body, but also that the other inputs associated with food production such as packaging materials and cleaning supplies are also approved as non-harmful to ourselves and the environment. 

Project Umami has uniquely been a proud 1% For The Planted supported since business inception.  Proceeds are given to our friends at Masa Seed Foundation. 

Furthermore, Project Umami is currently pursuing B Corp and Climate Neutral Certifications and anticipates the awarding of both by 4Q2024.
